Indian Premier League is a platform for many happening events for the players. Every year we witness the best performances, players making a name of themselves, and equally bad performances too. However, there are many players who flopped but I have listed a few Players who Flopped in IPL 2020 according to me.
Here is a list of Players who Flopped in IPL 2020:-
Prithvi Shaw (Delhi Capitals)
DC first-choice opener who had a decent run in 2019 but could only manage to score 228 runs with an average run rate of 17.5 in 13 innings. He has a strike rate of 136.5.
Robin Uthappa (Rajasthan Royals)
Robin Uthappa who was an opening batsman for Rajasthan Royals could only manage to score 196 runs in 12 matches. But, he has just one over 40+ score with an average of 16.3 and a strike rate of 119.65.
Dinesh Karthik (Kolkata Knight Riders)
In the last 5 years, Dinesh has had the worst performance in IPL 2020. Because he could only manage 165 runs with just one half-century in 14 matches. His average run rate 14.1 and strike rate of 126.1. Disappointing season for him.
Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab)
The biggest player for KXIP who only managed to score about 110 runs in the entire tournament. He has a poor average of 15.4, and a mediocre strike rate of 101.9; less than his ODI strike rate.
MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings)
CSK Captain and Wicket-keeper MS Dhoni are shockingly on the list of LVP. He managed to score 200 runs in 12 matches. In IPL 2020, he didn’t reach a fifty score, have a poor average run rate of 25, and a strike rate of 116.3
Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals)
RR batsmen who had a successful stint in IPL 2019, didn’t prove up to people’s expectations. But, he could only muster 86 runs having an average of 12.3 in 8 innings with one match-winning knock.
Andre Russell (Kolkata Knight Riders)
KKR all-rounder who was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2019 became the Lowest Valuable Player (LVP) in 2020. He scored 119 runs and 6 wickets in 9 matches.
Sunil Narine (Kolkata Knight Riders)
KKR batsman cum bowler Narine didn’t come out good in IPL 2020. He has the worst in his IPL career. He managed 5 wickets in 9 matches with an economy rate of 7.9.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Kamlesh who is a very talented bowler but has performed poorly in his debut season. He managed 5 wickets in 9 matches at an average of 46.2 and an economy rate of 8.9.
Jaydev Unadkat (Rajasthan Royals)
In IPL 2020, Rajasthan Bowler having a poor economy rate of 9.9 acquired only 5 wickets in 7 matches. He has a single 2-wicket haul to his name to show.
